The Old Port Urban Beach La plage urbaine au Vieux-Port de Montréal
Montreal
This sandy oasis at the foot of the Clock Tower in Old Montreal was inspired by the Paris Plages project. Chill out on the blue and white deck chairs or cool off at one of five fountains. And if you’re up for a little exploring, just follow the wooden path bordered by weeping willows along the St. Lawrence River.

Canada’s Sugar Beach
Toronto
You can’t miss this stretch of sand dotted with pastel parasols and white Muskoka chairs, designed by landscape architect Claude Cormier (the huge rock painted like a candy cane is a nod to the Redpath sugar refinery next door). Stroll along Lake Ontario or wait for the party to start when the sun sets and the water features light up.
